[Toronto, ON] – The Electro-Federation Canada has announced McCoy Samuels as the 2016 Recipient of the RAB Design Lighting Award of Excellence.

McCoy visited our office last week to accept his scholarship and meet with our team. McCoy is currently in his final year of his Electrical Engineering Technician Diploma at Centennial College in Toronto, ON. He is intrigued by understanding how the technology around him works, and has an excellent academic standing in his program. McCoy has entrepreneurial plans to take this passion and turn it into his own business someday.

Outside of his academic and professional aspirations, McCoy also has plans to start his own charitable organization, and use his own successes in Canada to help those less fortunate in various regions of Africa. In his spare time, you can find McCoy trying his hand at DJ-ing, putting his own spin on some of his favourite music.

Speaking on the occasion, RAB Design’s President Irwin Beron said “It has been a pleasure to participate in the EFC Scholarship Program for the third year in a row. All three RAB Design Lighting Award Recipients have been outstanding students and individuals. McCoy is an exceptional, young man with a bright future ahead and we’re glad to be able to contribute to his education in our own way.”
